SEO Settings

Configure metadata, structured data, and SEO settings for your VideoNest video pages.

How VideoNest handles SEO

VideoNest automatically generates SEO-friendly page structure for your video website. Each video page uses your video's title, description, and thumbnail to populate the page title, meta description, and Open Graph tags — no manual configuration required.

Video metadata and page SEO

The SEO output for each video page is driven by your video metadata:

  • Page title — drawn from your video title
  • Meta description — drawn from your video description
  • Open Graph / social preview — uses your video thumbnail and title

Keeping your video titles and descriptions clear and descriptive is the most effective way to improve SEO for your video pages. See Metadata & Tagging for how to edit video metadata.

Structured data

VideoNest automatically adds VideoObject structured data (JSON-LD) to each video page. This helps search engines understand and index your video content, and enables rich result features like video thumbnails in Google Search.

Sitemap

Your VideoNest website includes an automatically generated sitemap that updates as you add or remove videos. If you connect a custom domain, the sitemap is available at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml.

💡
Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console.

After setting up a custom domain, submit your sitemap URL in Google Search Console to accelerate indexing of your video pages.
