Team Members & Permissions

Add team members to your VideoNest account and manage their permission levels.

Account types

VideoNest accounts are configured based on your use case — individual creator, publisher, or agency. Your account type is shown in Settings → Account. Business and Enterprise plans include multi-user team access; individual and Starter plans are single-user.

Role types

Each team member is assigned one of four roles that controls what they can access and modify within your account.

RoleAccess level
OwnerFull access to all features including billing, plan management, and account deletion. Only one Owner per account.
AdminFull access to all features except billing changes, plan upgrades/downgrades, and account deletion.
EditorCan upload videos, edit metadata, manage distribution feeds and partner settings. Cannot access billing, team management, or account settings.
ViewerRead-only access to the Media Library and Analytics. Cannot upload, edit, or change any settings.

Adding a team member

  1. Navigate to Settings → Team.
  2. Click Invite Member.
  3. Enter the person's email address and select their role.
  4. Click Send Invite. The invitee receives an email with a link to accept and set up their account.

Pending invites are shown in the Team list with a Pending badge until accepted. You can resend or cancel a pending invite at any time.

💡
Plan limits

Team member access is available on Business and Enterprise plans. The number of seats included depends on your plan. Additional seats can be added from Settings → Plan.

Managing existing members

To change a team member's role, go to Settings → Team, locate the member, and select a new role from the role dropdown. Changes take effect immediately.

To remove a team member, click Revoke Access next to their name. They are signed out of VideoNest and can no longer access your account. Their past activity (uploads, edits) is preserved in the account history.

Multi-user access

Business plans support multiple team members under a single account with shared access to the same channel and Media Library. All team members operate within the same account — there is no separation between users' uploads or videos. All videos are visible to all members at or above the Viewer role.

Agency accounts

Enterprise accounts support managing multiple channels under a single login. Each channel can have its own distribution partners, player settings, and feeds while sharing the same team and billing. Agency-level accounts also support assigning team members to specific channels only — contact support to configure channel-scoped access for your team.
