Turn your videos into published articles automatically using AI-generated templates — no writing required.

What are Articles?

Articles are written blog posts tied to your video content. They live on your VideoNest website and can be indexed by search engines — giving your videos an additional surface for discovery beyond video search. Articles are managed under Media → Articles in the app sidebar.

Unlike traditional blog posts, VideoNest articles are generated directly from your videos using AI templates, so you don't need to write from scratch. You select a video from your Media Library, choose a template, and VideoNest generates a full article draft in seconds. You can then review, edit, and publish — or discard it and try a different template.

The Articles List

The Articles list shows all articles in your channel — both AI-generated and manually written. Each row displays:

  • Title — the article headline
  • Status — Draft, Published, or Unpublished
  • Template — the template used to generate it (or "Manual" for hand-written articles)
  • Date Created — when the article was generated or created
  • Actions — Edit, Publish/Unpublish, or Delete

Creating an Article from a Video

To generate an article from one of your videos:

  1. Go to Media → Articles and click Add New Article.
  2. Choose Create from Video.
  3. Select the video you want to base the article on from your library.
  4. Choose an article template (see below for descriptions of each template).
  5. Set a title — or let VideoNest suggest one based on the video.
  6. Click Generate. The article preview appears in seconds.
  7. Review the draft. Edit any text directly in the preview editor.
  8. Click Publish when you're ready to make it live on your VideoNest website.

Try more than one template.

You can generate multiple article versions from the same video using different templates. Each generation is independent — keep the one that works best for your audience.

Creating a Blank Article

If you prefer to write from scratch rather than using AI generation:

  1. Go to Media → Articles and click Add New Article.
  2. Choose Create New (without a video).
  3. Write your article in the editor and set a title.
  4. Click Publish to make it live.

Blank articles are not tied to a specific video, but you can embed your player inside the article body if you want to include video content.

Article Templates

Each template produces a different article format. Choose based on your content type and what your audience responds to:

  • Listicle — Formats the article as a numbered list. Best for videos that cover multiple tips, items, or examples. Example: "7 Things to Know Before You Invest."
  • How-to — Produces a step-by-step instructional guide based on the video content. Best for tutorials, walkthroughs, and educational content.
  • Case Study — Structures the article as a problem → approach → results narrative. Best for success stories, client spotlights, or before/after content.
  • Summary — Distills the key points and takeaways from the video into a concise written summary. Best for news segments, interviews, and information-dense content.
  • Gallery — Creates a visually led article using frames or images extracted from the video, with captions. Best for visual content, product showcases, or event coverage.

Publishing Articles

When you publish an article, it becomes visible on your VideoNest website and is available for search engine indexing. The article URL is based on your article title and lives under your VideoNest website domain — for example, yourchannel.videonest.co/articles/your-article-title. You can unpublish an article at any time from the Articles list — it will be removed from your website but remain as a draft in your account.
