Setting Up Distribution Partners

Connect your VideoNest library to CTV, podcast, news, signage, and other distribution platforms by creating a feed.

How partner setup works

Every distribution destination in VideoNest is configured as a feed. Go to Feeds (under Media in the main nav) and click Add New Feed to begin. The setup flow walks you through each option in order.

Step 1: Choose your destination type

You'll be prompted to select a destination. Options include Amazon Fire TV, audio/podcast feed, custom MRSS feed, and others. Selecting a destination type sets the correct format and metadata structure for that partner — the rest of the options adapt accordingly.

Step 2: Configure your feed filters

After choosing a destination, set the content filters for this feed:

  • Resolution — minimum resolution required for videos to be included in this feed
  • Min / Max duration — only include videos within this length range
  • Include old videos — toggle whether past content is included immediately, or whether the feed only picks up new uploads going forward

Step 3: Set orientation and publishing frequency

Choose the video orientation (landscape, portrait, or both) and set a publishing frequency. Publishing frequency controls how often the feed cycles content. Even without new uploads, the feed continues to deliver content at the set cadence — this is evergreen looping. See Automation Rules for more detail.

Step 4: Add a playlist filter (optional)

If you only want a subset of your library in this feed, select a playlist. Only videos in that playlist will be included. Leave blank to include all videos matching the other filters.

Step 5: Enable AI enhancements (optional)

AI enhancements are off by default. When enabled, VideoNest automatically optimizes your video titles, descriptions, tags, and categories for the specific partner's requirements. For example, MSN has defined publishing requirements that differ from Amazon Fire TV. Toggle this on per feed.

Step 6: For audio feeds — set up artwork

If you selected an audio/podcast feed type, you'll be prompted to upload channel artwork. This is required by podcast directories like Apple Podcasts and Spotify before your feed can be submitted.

Your feed URL

Once the feed is created, your feed URL is shown on the feed detail page. Some partners will ask you to submit this URL directly during their channel or publisher setup process. See MRSS Feed Configuration for more on feed URL structure.

Custom requirements

If you have specific needs not covered by the standard options, use the "Any other custom needs? Let us know" option at the bottom of the feed setup screen.

⚠️
Approval-gated partners

CTV channels (Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Samsung TV+) and some news partners go through an editorial approval process. Creating a feed does not guarantee placement. See CTV Setup and News Syndication for specifics.
