Distribution Overview
How VideoNest connects your video library to partner platforms automatically.
How distribution works
VideoNest uses feeds — MRSS and audio RSS — to deliver your content to partner platforms. You create a feed, choose a destination type, configure your settings, and VideoNest handles delivery automatically. There is no manual exporting or file transferring involved.
Feed-based delivery
Every distribution channel in VideoNest is a feed. A feed is a structured data file that partner platforms read to pull your content on a schedule. You can have multiple feeds running simultaneously, each with a different destination, different filters, and different settings — for example, one feed for your CTV channel and another for a podcast directory.
Supported destination types
VideoNest supports distribution to the following categories of partners:
- CTV (Connected TV) — Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Samsung TV+
- Podcast directories — Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio
- News syndication — MSN, Yahoo News, Google News
- Digital signage — BrightSign, ScreenCloud, OptiSigns, and other platforms that accept MRSS or URL-based feeds
- Custom MRSS feeds — for any partner that accepts a standard MRSS format
For step-by-step setup, see Setting Up Partners.
Social media
YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok distribution is handled via automation tools like Zapier and Make. VideoNest does not push directly to social platforms. See Social Distribution for setup instructions.
Complete your video metadata before enabling feeds. Partner platforms evaluate content quality and metadata completeness when deciding what to surface. Titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and categories should all be filled in.
