How it works

VideoNest converts your video library (or a playlist subset) into an audio podcast feed automatically. You don't need a separate podcast host or audio editor — VideoNest strips the audio track, packages it as a valid RSS feed, and delivers it to podcast directories. Your videos become podcast episodes with no extra steps.

Step 1: Create an audio feed

Go to FeedsAdd New Feed → select Audio Feed as the destination type. This triggers the podcast-specific setup flow.

Step 2: Set up your podcast artwork

Podcast directories require channel artwork at a minimum of 1400×1400 pixels, in square format, as a JPEG or PNG. Upload this during feed setup — it is required before your feed can be submitted to any podcast directory.

Step 3: Configure feed settings

Set your content options for this feed:

  • Min / Max duration — optional, useful for excluding short clips that aren't suitable as podcast episodes
  • Playlist filter — if you only want specific episodes in the feed, select the corresponding playlist
  • Publishing frequency — sets the cadence for evergreen looping, so your feed stays active even between new uploads

Step 4: Get your podcast RSS feed URL

Your feed URL is shown on the feed detail page after saving. This is the URL you'll submit to each podcast directory.

Step 5: Submit to directories

Each directory has its own submission process. Apple Podcasts and Spotify both use a feed URL submission method. iHeartRadio has a publisher intake process. Submit your VideoNest feed URL through each platform's publishing portal.

💡
Keep your podcast episodes organized

Use a dedicated playlist for your podcast episodes to keep them separate from the rest of your library. Tag episodes with season and episode numbers in the metadata editor for better display in podcast apps.
