Email Subscribers

How Email Collection Works

Every VideoNest channel website includes an email opt-in that visitors can use to subscribe for updates. When a visitor submits their email address, VideoNest stores it in your subscriber list on your behalf. You don't need a third-party email marketing tool to collect subscribers — VideoNest handles it natively.

The opt-in appears on your VideoNest website automatically. You can control its placement and copy from the Website settings in your account. Visitors explicitly opt in — VideoNest does not add email addresses without consent.

Viewing Your Subscribers

To see your full subscriber list:

1. Go to Website → Subscribers in the left navigation.
2. Your subscriber list appears with each email address and the date it was added.

The list is sorted by signup date (newest first by default). You can scroll through the full list or search for a specific address.

Exporting Your Email List

You can download your full subscriber list at any time as a CSV file:

1. Go to Website → Subscribers.
2. Click the Export button at the top of the subscriber list.
3. A CSV file containing all subscriber email addresses and signup dates will download to your computer.

Use this export to import your subscribers into an email marketing platform, analyze your audience, or maintain your own records. Subscriber counts tend to grow faster once you have a custom domain in place, as it lends credibility to the opt-in.

Automatic Email Notifications

When you publish a new video, VideoNest automatically sends an email notification to all of your subscribers. This happens without any manual action on your part — as soon as a video is published, the notification goes out.

To prevent inbox fatigue, VideoNest enforces a maximum of one notification email per channel per day. If you publish multiple videos in a single day, only one notification is sent — containing the most recent publish. Subscribers are not emailed again until the next day at the earliest.

Coming Soon

VideoNest is actively developing more subscriber management controls. Features in development include the ability to set custom send frequency, segment subscribers by signup date or engagement, and customize the content and design of notification emails. These controls will be added to the Subscribers section as they become available.
