Publishing a video is just the beginning. After it goes live, there's a roster of tasks that follow — updating your CMS, alerting your team, logging to your production tracker, posting to social. VideoNest's Zapier integration connects your video library to 7,000+ apps so those tasks happen automatically, the moment a video publishes.
Here are five workflows worth setting up first.
Workflow 1 — New video → WordPress draft
Trigger: Video Published in VideoNest → Action: Create Draft Post in WordPress
Zapier pulls the video title, description, and embed code from VideoNest and creates a WordPress draft. Your editorial team opens it, does a final review, and publishes. No copy-pasting, no missed embeds.
This same workflow works with Ghost, Webflow, and any other CMS Zapier supports. If your CMS isn't listed, the Webhook action lets you push data to almost anything with an API.
Workflow 2 — New video → Slack alert
Trigger: Video Published in VideoNest → Action: Send Slack message
A Slack message appears in your #content or #publishing channel with the video title, URL, and any metadata you want surfaced. Your team is informed the moment it's live — no status meetings needed.
Workflow 3 — New video → Airtable production log
Trigger: Video Published in VideoNest → Action: Create record in Airtable
Title, publish date, duration, category, and video URL are logged to an Airtable base automatically. Useful for production tracking, rights management, and performance reviews. Google Sheets works here too.
Workflow 4 — View milestone → email notification
Trigger: View Milestone Reached → Action: Send email via Gmail or HubSpot
When a video crosses a view threshold, automatically notify your team, send a social proof email to subscribers, or trigger a follow-up campaign. The view milestone trigger fires once per threshold, so you won't get spammed.
Workflow 5 — New video → LinkedIn post
Trigger: Video Published in VideoNest → Action: Create post on LinkedIn
Every new video triggers a LinkedIn post pulling from your video title and description. You can add a Zapier Filter step before this one so only certain categories or tags trigger the social post — useful if not all your content is intended for LinkedIn.
